Starting with the New Year, New York will welcome a new minimum wage schedule, along with an increase in the salary threshold exemptions for overtime pay. The scales vary by location and company size, as follows:

  • New York City (11+ employees) = $15 an hour/$58,500 per year (to be exempt)
  • New York City (10 or fewer employees) = $13.50/$52,650
  • Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester Counties = $12/$46,800
